Fans questioning Chyler Leigh’s honesty in her “Wear your Pride” post

The Superhero Universe is often an alteration of the actual world where we wish to see things the way we want it to be seen.

Chyler Leigh plays the role of Kara Danvers’ human adopted sister from the famous CW series “Supergirl” and in Chyler’s latest interview she explains how she deeply feel for her character in the series as she comes out as a Lesbian during the second season of her show which aired in late 2016 and this left some fans butt hurt including Chyler’s own family as some people had a hard time accepting the changes in the society.

Although some fans question the honesty of the co-actress, she clearly does resonate with the character and the experience she had to go through along the series where Chyler mentions how she felt a sense of responsibility that she had as she carried the weight of several minor communities in the society along with her own life outside the set.

Chyler and some of her co-workers shared how she was very emotional during the shoot of this sensitive matter and how the journey for the actress and her character went hand in hand for each other making it a very hard and tiresome journey of just waiting and let people accept the character for who they are.

Chyler Leigh and her husband, actor Nathan who she married in 2002 shares their experience in venturing into this world together and Leigh mentions – “long and lonely road for both my husband and myself but I can whole-heartedly say that after all these years, he and I are still discovering the depths of ourselves and each other, but throughout our journey we’ve learned to be proud of who we are, no matter the cost,”

Right when she thought she started getting the adoration and appreciation of her fans and family, season 2 happened and things started changing for her character and herself, Leigh mentions that – “Since that episode aired, I was told from dear friends that they would no longer watch the show because of the fact that Alex’s journey took a turn from their less than acceptable beliefs”.

Astonishing to see the lack of people’s acceptance even today in such matters and Leigh shares her thought of hope and trust in the coming generations for people to accept and not outcast people who lay outside the said norms.

Monday morning – 6/09/2020 Chyler Leigh’s fans had a pleasant sight on Instagram where she posted her immense love and support for the pride community and poured it down with love and compassion to all its audience and fans.
